Challenge

The electric water heaters developed for the elderly group need to achieve precise temperature control, and be equipped with basic functions including timing, infrared remote control, automatic shutdown, and power cutoff upon water outflow. Additionally, an abnormal alarm program and an anti-fainting voice broadcast function should be added to balance ease of use and safety protection for the elderly, which imposes high requirements on functional compatibility.

Solution

Develop elderly-friendly control programs, adjust temperature control accuracy, integrate timing and infrared control logic, equip with water-out power-off and automatic shutdown protection functions, add fault alarm and fall-prevention voice broadcast modules, and complete multiple rounds of verification and debugging for simulated usage scenarios.

Result

All elderly-friendly functions of the whole machine operate normally, with stable temperature control, timely activation of safety protection, and accurate response of alarms and voice broadcasts. During the aging test of the whole machine, there were no false alarms or functional failures, which meets the safe use needs of elderly users.
